I was skeptical of my purchase, after reading previous reviews. However, upon first use, I didn't experience any of the problems previous commenters encountered. It heated up quickly. I went from Frozen (Beef and Vegetables) and Cold (Tomato Juice and Beef Broth) ingredients to a delicious pot of fully cooked homemade Vegetable Beef Soup in just 45 minutes. Same as on a traditional cooktop. The price can't be beat. This will serve as a great alternative until I'm able to replace my regular cooktop, and serve as a great added piece afterward.
