I bought this mainly because I am tired of glass french presses. I am not a delicate guy. And glass usually breaks around me. So I saw this model from Stanley and bought it immediately. This thing is huge!!!! Is massive! If that is going to bother you, than don't buy it. It did not bother me. And I am taking this thing with me in trips. Because of the size, I usually put gear inside it so i can take advantage of it to protect whatever i put inside. But it will be very difficult to take it in your carry on. Not impossible, but difficult. It is what it is. It is bullet proof. This thing as any Stanley product, will handle anything you throw at it. I wanted to give 5 stars! But I have to b e honest. Heat retention is not as described. I could get a maximum of 2 hours of drinkable coffee out of this. Pass that and you will drink coldish coffee. And for that I hd to pre heat and use boiling water for the coffee. But again, for me that is not important, as i have the Legendary Bottle and that my friend is for the Zombie apocalypse. So if you plan to make coffee after the zombies arrive and want to be able to have hot coffee while running from them , thats your combo. This french Press and a Legendary Bottle from Stanley. You will be good to go. And this can be used as weapons also, so double duty!
