There can only be one! - 3 way fight for #1
I decided to try out the Spigen Rugged Armor along with the Verus High-Pro Shield and Supcase Slim Hybrid case over the course of a few weeks. Below are my Pros/Cons list along with some comparison shots and my final recommendations. Please note, my Nexus 6p was fitted with a Pleson glass screen protector during testing. Spigen Rugged Armor + Easiest case to take on and off + Curved area around fingerprint reader + Compatible with glass screen protectors + Correctly sized USB, headphone, and camera cutouts - Worst grip in the hand of the 3 - Power and volume buttons fairly stiff/difficult to press - No alternative colors/options Verus High-Pro Shield + Good grip with the back texture, well spaced buttons + Color options that can be stylish + Compatible with glass screen protectors + Correctly sized USB, camera cutouts - Difficult to take on and off - Outer rim made of fairly cheap material that feels like it will chip/show wear and tear quickly - No curved area around fingerprint reader (uncomfortable to press) - Headphone jack area quite narrow/incompatible with some headphones Supcase Slim Hybrid + Most protective of the 3 (has a hard plastic back) + Best grip in the hand with rubber sides, easy to press buttons + Color options available + Correctly sized USB, headphone, camera cutouts +/- Looks like something out of Deus Ex - Bulkiest of the 3 (makes your phone feel much bigger) - Not compatible with all glass screen protectors - Difficult to take on and off For the clumsy/all-terrain user --> Supcase Slim Hybrid: Hands down the best protection you can get, and has the best grip to boot. Just make sure you get a very accurate fit with your glass screen protector if you're planning on using one with this case. For the style conscious --> Verus High-Pro Shield: The fake brushed metal look on the back actually helps make it easier to grip and the colored outer rim makes it easy to show off and make your phone stand out and feel a bit different. For the average consumer --> Spigen Rugged Armor: Hands down the best overall pick. Offers a great balance of protection and has great spacing on the cutouts. The carbon fiber inserts aren't for everyone, but after switching around between the 3 cases it's the one I just plain loved using most. Please feel free to ask any questions and I'll do my best to answer them/take additional photos on request.
