I chose this device because all I really wanted was indoor and outdoor temperature in a small, non-obtrusive design. This is the only weather station that fit my bill. For $30, you get the indoor unit, which is very thin and has a big, easy to read display with indoor and outdoor temperature along with the high and low for the day. It can sit on a table or hang on the wall. The outdoor unit has a multi-position bracket, and easily mounts using two screws in a weather-protected place (like under an eave). I enjoy getting up and seeing what the temperature is so I don't have to go "feel" what it's like. March 29, 2010 - One year later, this unit is still doing just fine. I am thrilled the batteries have lasted over a year in the outdoor unit. May 8, 2011 - Still doing what it is supposed to! Replaced the batteries a couple months ago in both units (They were still on the originals).
