Most fleece blankets are very thin and have a satin type finish on one side. While this may seem comfortable and shout how light they are, they are not warm, I mean mid winter zero degree night warm. This blanket appeared to me to have more "body" to it. Similar to one I purchased from LLBEAN years ago (for about 3x the price). I was not disappointed. It does have more "body" to it, but far from heavy. Also construction seems durable and is easy care (machine wash/dry). But most important it is comfortable and WARM. I mean mid winter, below zero warmth. No cool air getting through it. This is not just a throw blanket it is on your bed to keep you warm all winter blanket.
