I bought several of these boxes for our Christmas light display. They are constructed well: thick plastic, snapping hinges, flexible molding at entry ports, and an overhang to minimize the amount of water that reaches the entry ports. Our outdoor outlet has a GFCI breaker which trips repeatedly during bad weather with our light display. The normal outlet stakes do not seem able to keep enough water out during the rain, causing all our lights to turn off. These Sockitboxes are a huge improvement and I can't see how any water could reach the electrical outlets now.. If you also have problems with xmas lights and a GFCI breaker, take a look at this product: Tower Manufacturing 30439005 3-Wire GFCI Outlet Adapter, Yellow I use these in combination with the Sockitboxes to contain and separate weather related tripping. I attached photos of the big and medium boxes, one inside the other and a measuring tape for reference. Having both sizes, I'd recommend just spending the extra $3 per box and getting the big ones. It gives you more room to angle your plugs and adapters so the cable can go through the entry port without strain.
