It Works and is Free
All I wanted was a way to send and receive text messages since I live where there is no cell service. I had been using TextPlus, but it suddenly went away a week or so ago. This app gave me a phone number for texting--with my actual area code. When I set it up, I used my landline number (instead of cell) and it took it just fine. The messages appear to transmit almost instantly. I am.sure I could be picky about some details, but it works and it is free. Thank you, whoever developed this!
