We got one of these screens several years ago and it lasted about 5 years which is a minor miracle when you have 2 big idiot dogs barreling through it if they hear the package delivery guy, who they think is a serial killer, or see what might be a squirrel but is actually the cat. It has a tension rod at the top that they pulled out of the doorway a few times but it was never damaged and I put it right back. When that first screen needed to be replaced, through no fault of its own (the foster kittens thought it was a big kitten climb-y thing) I couldn't remember what the brand name was and so I bought a screen that attached on the top and sides with magnets in plastic boxes. That screen lasted (I'm not kidding) ONE day. The first time the dogs ran through it they tore it completely off the door and it landed in the grass. The magnets and their plastic boxes were not all found which makes you nervous when you're cutting the grass in that area. So anyway the magnet-only screens will probably be all right for you if you are a calm person who lives with a hamster. If you have crazy dogs who are like battering rams with hair then I suggest this model. The screen is sturdy and the magnet closing thingies work just fine. I'm glad I found this product again as spring is maybe almost here. Or maybe not who can tell.
