Superior to the cordless version
Eureka has been making these little vacs for decades. I think I bought my first one sometime in the early 1990's. I've always had the cordless ones, but am glad I switched to the corded. It's true that the cordless version is more convenient, but the battery is the weak spot. Getting a decent battery, whether from Eureka or a reseller, doesn't always happen. And of course the battery will degrade over time. I've managed to recondition the batteries but they're never like new, just kind of functional. But the suction on the corded vac is much better than on the cordless version, even with a new and fully charged battery.
This little vac is good for pet hair, cat litter, and light weight grunge. It's very easy to clean up carpeted stairs with it because it's so light. It's meant to be used between the times you use your big vacuum cleaner. However, you may well find that you get your big vacuum out less often because of this little guy.
Like just about everybody else has said, the cord is too short. In my case, a 10 foot extension cord makes it much more usable. However, the arms on the cord holder are a wee bit too short to wrap the extension cord securely if it's left plugged into the regular cord. Eureka, please either add a longer cord or add another inch to the cord holder arms to make this vacuum even better!
