Wait for it...
Once this deodorant finally works, it is pretty incredible. It takes a pretty long time for this deodorant to actually be effective, and it requires quite a bit of maintenance to get it to that point, however I believe that it is worth the initial hassle.
I moved out of my apartment, with the help of friends, four days ago. It was 85 degrees, and no air conditioning. By the end of the day. All of my commercial deodorant wearing friends were...pungent. I smelled, at worst, a bit salty, almost like an overheated child. That seemed like enough of a test, but one of my friends accidentally drove off for a weekend trip with the entire contents of my wardrobe in her car. Yep, I have been wearing the same gross clothes that I moved in for four days. I have, of course, been bathing every day, but had to resort to the same dirty outfit. I can't say that it feels pleasant, or that I smell particularly fresh anymore, but not a single person would believe that my clothes are as dirty as they actually are at this point.
Some tips for getting started;
1) if you are switching from a standard deodorant/antiperspirant, wash your underarms with dish detergent for the first few days. This is especially good at breaking down the waxy build-up from deodorant. You might not know that it is there, but trust me, it is.
2) Wipe underarms with alcohol soaked cotton pads/handi wipes/baby wipes after bathing and before applying the cream, you may need to do this again midday at beginning, it helps you feel fresh during the transition, and it speeds up the process, as the alcohol will kill the bacteria.
3) Apply to clean underarms daily to start (even twice daily if you are particularly smelly) and gradually wean yourself off to going several days in between. It may take a while but eventually you will notice that you can go longer and longer without an application.
4) It is NOT an antiperspirant. However I have noticed that with continued use after switching from an antiperspirant, it has regulated the way I perspire. I believe that my body used to have to work so hard to force any perspiration through the antiperspirant, that once it wore off, I would just sweat buckets. Now that my pores aren't clogged it seems that my sweat glands don't feel the need to work overtime!
