Sizing is quirky but not inaccurate
There's a lot of controversy on the sizing for these in the reviews on Amazon and elsewhere and I think I've figured out why. There is a band at the top of the fly zipper (which is long and high, so it ends near the belly button) that more or less corresponds to the waist dimension of the pants, so if that area of your stomach is usually flowing over the top of your non-bib pants, you aren't going to get away with ordering bibs in your normal pants size. You'll need to measure the circumference of your waist just under your belly button and order whatever size that is. If your waist around belly button level is relatively close to the same size as the hip area where you wear regular pants (which is to say: you don't have love handles), you'll most likely be fine with the size you usually order in Dickies. Call it Dickies' way of keeping you honest with yourself. I'm 5'9" and ordered 30x32 and was happy with it, although I did have to let the straps almost all the way out, which leads me to conclude that a person who is significantly taller than 5'9" but still wears a 30x32 (i.e. more total height, with proportionally less leg) may find the torso part of these bibs too short. Also, the butt is very, very roomy- more so than necessary to allow for comfortable bending over- if you have little to no butt, these pants will make its absence very conspicuous. I haven't put them to a ton of work yet but the legs are nice and roomy for long johns and they're comfortable to move and bend in- if the knees don't hold up, I'll update.
