This review is for the twin bed frame. It is a black metal frame and it came in a small box in pieces. I am not going to lie. I am not the one who put this together. I was not even going to attempt it, LOL. I'm not really wired that way. I also absolutely despise asking my husband to put things together. I was so happy to discover that he did not mind putting this one together at all. He said it was way easier than putting the IKEA furniture together. LOL It only took him around 30 minutes to put it together. There was no cursing involved which is always a great sign! So, do not be scared of putting it together as it was not a problem at all. :-) I love the sleek look of the black metal and that it is small enough that it will not take up an entire room so it gives us room for all the other furniture. The slim fit is great for us. It is also very sturdy. I do not feel the metal underneath the mattress like I have in the past with some other brands and I'm not using a box spring, either. I love that part about this bed. Very comfortable and well made. I've taken a photo to show you what it looks like put together.
