Once I received the markers, I pulled them out of the package and used them. I was very disappointed with the color. The markers all appeared to be dried out, and the color was 10% what they should have been. I then put them all in my marker cup on my desk, with the tips facing down. The next day, I went to leave a poor review on Amazon and drew on my whiteboard so that I could take a picture to include with my negative review. To my surprise, they were working perfectly, the markers were wet, and displaying beautiful, bright colors. So, my advice is to store these with the tips facing down and let them sit for a few hours once you first get them so that they work as desired.
