As quite a few people have pointed out, this solution is made up of 'soap'. The intent is to break the surface tension of the soil to allow water to penetrate. While it may seem like snake oil, I actually found this to be an AMAZING ingredient to a two chemical mix that has done wonders fixing my dead spots (dog pee) and areas of my lawn that just would not take hold after being ravaged by the bunnies! (urine and bunny poop) I've found that the liquid aeration product mixed with SLS Humic Acid helps breakdown the residuals left behind from the dog pee and helped me bounce back spots that the bunnies had spent years destroying. I'm genuinely happy with this product when I use it in that respect. I don't know that I can say it improved the overall look or health of the lawn, and I will say my high traffic area that has probably been compacted down for years did take water, but it was temporary. I'll likely be machine aerating in the fall.
