Made a custom fit, and love it!
For everyone asking if it will fit in a certain make or model of car, I can tell you that for the price, take the chance and purchase this, then use the trick I figured out to make a custom fit. The cup holders in my 2001 Honda CRV are plentiful, but useless. They are all too shallow, making every cup, container and bottle I put in them, a projectile during right turns. Since life with only left turns, where the bottles are protected by my arm rest and therefor don't fly out, would be very inconvenient, I purchased this cup holder. At first I was very disappointed because the base of the cup holder was far too small to fit into my car's cup holder, and would have been a projectile itself. But then I had a McGuiver epiphany on how to solve the problem, rather than continuing to go through numerous brands/styles of other cup holders and wasting a lot of time and money. For those willing to jnvest an additional $1.89 plus tax and about five minutes of their time, this cup holder can be custom fit for just about any car. I purchased a small bag of "Super Duty" rubber bands, and continued to layer them on the base until it fit properly. It now fits perfectly, with no wiggling or slipping. The fit now is perfect. I was also really pleased rhat no one can even tell that I completed an unorthodox fix, as all the rubber bands are hidden by the car's cup holder, and none of them show at all. Think about it, since the size of cup holders in cars do not have a standardized size, it would be nearly impossible to manufacture an after-market cup holder that fit every car. Try my rubber band trick, and you migt be very pleased with your purchase. If the problem is that the base of the Smart Kup 808 Innovate cup holder is too big to fit, I got nothin'.
