My shoe size is men's 8.5 and I used to buy the men's socks because well, they're men's. The problem I would always run into is that the heels would always find their way to my ankles, so obviously they aren't the correct size for me. After researching the difference between sock size and shoe size, I finally figured out what size to look for. Sock sizes, from what I understand, are listed in inches. So 9-11 is really 9"-11". Men's socks are 10-13, so those are supposed to fit 10"-13" lol. A size 8.5 is about 10.5", so being at the low end of the sock size range I could see why I was having problems with the length of men's socks. To avoid that problem you want to choose a sock size with the length of your foot in the upper range. I ordered the 9-11's and they fit me so much better. Took off a star because I thought they'd have a little more padding. FYI, on Amazon they're listed as sock size 9-11, but the packaging I received lists them as shoe size 3-9. Looking at the product description, that corresponds to a size Large. I tried to put the sizing in a table that includes Amazon's sock size listed and Hanes' size and shoe size listed, hopefully it's correct and helps those confused about the sizing.
