Replaces any need for antibiotic in my home
We began using this natural antibiotic about 8 years ago. We keep this on reorder. I first started using it to treat sinus infections. Then I used it to detox an old virus out of my body. We have used it internally and topically. Mouth rinses, sublingually to treat internal issues and topically on areas that need an antibiotic.
We have used it to shrink and dissolve a lump that popped up in the testes, used it for common colds, and for streptococcus infection. It can be used to sanitize an area topically or in a spray for a counter. I just can't stress enough how this is a staple first aid in our home.
It has a strong taste, and can burn when dropped under the tongue. When comparing the healing properties and comparisons; side effects of azithromycin (which is typically rx for strep, mono, gut issues) the safer bet is always Oil Of Oregano.
Oregano oil eliminated 83% of streptococcus and 78% of enterococcus, which are linked with strep throat, scarlet fever, rheumatic fever, toxic shock syndrome, cystitis, wound infections, and anorexia.
Also, many scholarly sites will show that OoO effectively eliminates viruses (but they will still list this in use along with pharmacillins.)
Carvacrol, also known as cymophenol (2-methyl-5-propan-2-ylphenol, Fig. 1A), is a monoterpene phenolic compound of Thymus and Oregano family of herbal plants22,23,24. Carvacrol or carvacrol containing essential oils have been extensively studied for biological activities such as anti-oxidant25, anti-inflammatory26, anti-cancer25, anti-pyretic27, and analgesic properties27. Carvacrol exhibits antimicrobial activities against yeast/fungi24,28, Gram-positive29, and mostly Gram-negative bacteria23,30. In Gram-negative bacteria, carvacrol depolarizes the cytoplasmic membranes31,32. Furthermore, carvacrol appears to affect ATP synthesis and subsequently reduce the other energy-dependent cellular processes such as the synthesis of enzymes and toxins33. However, the antibacterial mechanisms of carvacrol against human pathogenic Gram-positive bacteria have not been reported sufficiently.
