We owned two of these one for each car. Last weekend someone ran a stop sign at full speed and hit my car (a 2010 mid size SUV with 5 star side crash rating) while my 13th month old daughter was in it. The impact was fully on the rear door where my daughter was sat. We were hit so hard the rear suspension broke; we were spun 180 degrees from the impact, hit a tree and an electric pole before coming to a stop. My 13 month old daughter was sat where the main impact occurred. We couldn’t open the door next to my daughter as it was so badly damaged, the door had been hit so hard it was bent in and had actually been smashed into the car seat where my daughter was sat. As for my daughter she was very upset. She had dropped the toy giraffe she was playing with. She was unscathed and totally oblivious as to what had happened. I ordered a replacement car seat from my phone on the side of the road while waiting for the tow truck. FYI for the picture we were driving from right to left on the picture when we were hit and you can see the tree we bounced into.Also the door would not open, thats how hard we were hit.
