Best optics I've ever bought under $150
I have a couple of rental properties for which I thought it would be nice to include some good-quality binoculars for watching birds, sea life, etc. However, I didn't want to leave out my $350 ED glasses because people have accidents. So at $35 bucks or so with the current discount, I didn't expect much . But when they arrived, I took them out of the box and immediately noticed how light weight and well-built they are - including a very smooth focus wheel which is a pet peeve after having sent much more expensive binoculars back as a result of a gritty/binding focus knob. I took them outside and samples some close, mid-range, and far off images and all I can say is I bought two more pair. Are they as crisp and bright as my $350 ED glasses? Actually . . . . .almost. Not quite, but at 1/10th the cost these binoculars are 85 % there. So if you want a pair of good-quality, clear, bright, accurate binoculars but don't want to spend a ton of money, get these now. If I were the producer, I would be selling these at around a $89 price point. Update: So impressed I was with the first pair, I bought two more pair for gifts. I can say that the two additional paier were as impressive as the first in quality. So if consistency is a question, I hope this helps.
