Read some bad reviews on this camera, bought 2 of them ,set up is super easy . You do need a micro sd for recording. Installing the sd card is not that hard you just need to take the front 4 screws off and pull the circuit board out....with a little patience it will take you 2 minutes. The picture is amazing take some time and play around with the settings . So glad I ignored the bad reviews I highly reccomend this camera.
