When I began to look for a new mixer, My first choice was to get another KA mixer. Since I've owned & used one before, I thought that I'd get the same trust & reliability that I had before. Boy, was I wrong!! I began to look at some of the reviews on KitchenAid & & I was so shocked ay what I was reading!! Tons of dissatisfied owners to the core!! So I scratched them off the list and began to look at the Cuisinart Precision Master mixer. The more I read about it, the more I wanted one! This mixer has it all for the price that I paid for it! Here are some of the things that I liked; !. 500-watt motor. 2. 5.5-qt polished stainless steel work bowl. 3. Tilt-back motor head with release lever 4.Availible in 6 colors. 5.lighted ring around speed control dial. 6. 3 beaters; wire whisk, flat beater & a dough hook. 7. 3-year warranty. KA has only one lousy year!! 8. All metal construction. 9. whisper quiet operation. 10. Accessory drive in front. 11. Splash guard with pouring chute. 12. comes with instruction manual / recipe booklet. 13. Five rubber feet keeps unit stable while in use.. 14. An automatic temperature-controlled safety switch helps prevent overload, helping to protect the motor. 15. Motor head became hot to the touch, but motor did not overheat & shut off. 16. Mixer is relatively quieter than most brands. 17. Dough hook & flat beater are non-stick coated for easy cleanup. ANY SHORTCOMINGS AT ALL? My only shortcoming is that the flat beater can't seem to reach the bottom of the bowl, even though I tried adjusting the screw under the motor head. But eventually, the more ingredients that you put in the bowl to be processed, the more it seems to work. Overall. this machine is well worth it! I really like it!! Cheaper & better than KA!!! mixers which are a joke!!!!
