For the price, you get much much more value with this nifty vest. The color is absolutely amazing. The fit, quite form fitting and enhances your feminine body. It is not a puffy jacket or baggy and is meant to be worn not in very cold weather. It is more quilt thickness than jacket thickness, if that makes sense. The length is nice and long (which gives it a more feminine feel), in addition the torso area fitting snug around the waist and then letting a little bit out at the bottom. It is not baggy, if that is what you're afraid of. There is not a cinch that you can tie at the waist, but the vest does cinch, as it is shaped in a V shape... it is NOT boxy at all. I love it. I am a medium and I ordered the medium. I would say it is true to size, IF you are XS or S built. This vest fits VERY well on small framed bodies (think asian bodies), OR if you want a very fitted vest. If you prefer that your vest have room for a thick shirt or sweater, then definitely go up a size. It can still look good on average to medium frame bodies, but I would size up. This is important to note! The material is soft and is not scratchy. I buy a lot of asian clothing on Amazon (sometimes it turns out good and sometimes not so good), and usually the zippers on asian garments are not very high quality. The three zippers (one on each side pocket and one in the center) on this vest is nice and "beafier" than other zippers I've come across. The color of the zippers are not distracting, since it is a charcoal color. And a bonus, these zippers are not rough when you rub your hand across it when zipped. A pet peeve of mine with bad zipper jackets, is when the jacket it zipped up, the zipper line does not line up straight. This just makes the clothing article look cheap. Well, fortunately the middle zipper on this vest does line up straight. It's the little important details that make this vest a nice vest. There are also two little gold button/emblems, one on each side pocket. They do not look cheap. The gold goes really well with the color of the vest. A lot of vests out there have a really high collar... almost to the point of choking you when zipped all the way up. This vest stands out because of the low cut collar. You can zip it all the way up and not feel like you can't look down or sideways. (If you don't get what I'm saying, just try zipping up another vest of yours all the way up.). Now tell me that does not feel comfortable. The Allegra K vest has a lower cut collar that so many vest do not offer. It protects you from the cold when you need it most but is also comfortable at the same time. You know how sometimes, you can order something online and think it looks great, but when you finally receive it in the mail, the shape and cut of the garment fits and looks totally wrong? Well, you don't have to worry much about this vest. Everything about it looks exactly like what is advertised. I usually only buy Amazon Prime products, for their return policy (especially with overseas products)... but I went ahead and took a chance with this vest. Yes, it did take a week or two longer... but honestly, it was worth it since it is such a great quilted vest. The only negative would be that the side pockets are very very small and not practical to use. (Notice how the model fits only one finger inside her pocket... well... there you go.) But then, how often do you put your hands in your vest pockets? (Again, this quilted vest is meant to be worn not as a warm jacket, but a nice thin quilted vest) There is also no pocket inside the vest (chest area). But I guess for a vest this slim, it would defeat the purpose of a pocket that would add bulkiness... so I'm okay with it. Overall, if you are on the fence from buying this vest because it is not Amazon Prime, I would say go ahead and make the purchase.
