I have shoulder-lenght, dark, thick, wavy and mostly unruly hair... a LOT of it! I'm not your average "thick hair person" out there. I'm putting emphasis on this because I want desperate women with this type of hair (who cannot afford to go to the salon often enough to keep it looking nice -> my case!) to know that this little tool made a big difference on my hair. I had an old 2" plate clunker that did nothing but damage. When my hairdresser used the titanium BaByliss (regular 1-1/2") on me I couldn't believe the results! I then did a lot of research and gambled on this Mini 1" plates. I considered getting a regular size one but I really wanted something light, easy, that I could carry with me on trips. It's compact but potent and also a lot cheaper. I blow dry my hair straight and the Mini does the rest. Best of all, NO frizz, even here in the Florida humidity! So cool :)
