I NEVER write reviews, and I mean never. But I read them all the time, so I wanted to make sure anyone obsessing about the stripping furniture process could get info on citristrip. I used it on one brand new door (that had a white primer on it), and a 100 year old door that had several layers of stain & paint & lacquer on it. It worked amazingly both times. We let it sit on the doors for about 30 minutes, and it scraped up effortlessly with a plastic scraper, and the tougher bits came up with a small bristle brush (my dogs old toothbrush, haha) and some mineral spirits. I honestly didn't think it was going to work, because things like this are always made to look super easy on TV, etc., and it's almost always too good to be true, but I will never use anything else when it comes to stripping wood furniture. I liked the results so much, I have decided to do my dining table that I have been putting off forever. The two photos were taken exactly 20 minutes apart, to give you an idea of how easily the goo/stain/paint came off.
