Not a fan of anything unkind, but my large dogs were so enthusiastic about going out on leashes & after 4 yrs of trying, I could never get them to tone it down & not drag me face down out the door & across the driveway! The whole walk was a battle--ALWAYS!! Finally decided to try this & figured the plastic would be less sharp & hurtful, & if I thought it was unkind at all, I could theow it in trash. My dogs responded from the 1st minute! It works!! They still pulled, but only to the point they were comfortable, & they controlled it, tail wagging the whole time & never seemed uncomfortable. They came RUNNING every time I picked this collar up (I never leave it on them!),& they love having it put on & going for a walk! I love coming back w/ shoulders in sockets & no more battling them around the block! I can even walk both large dogs together w/ a coupling leash now & people admire how they walk side by side so nicely & wagging tails in unison like perfectly trained angels! Wish I hadn't waited 4 yrs; they could have had lots more fun walks all that time. Love my dogs & would NEVER do anything I thought hurt or scared them. This works & they couldn't be happier!!!!
