Love this! How to fix pairing problem!
I love this thing. I have retired my original gotcha, which in it’s time retired my original Pokémon go plus. If Pokémon go plus was a duck, This device would walk like a duck, talk like a duck, swim like a duck… You get the idea, except that it also can teleport and fly through outer space with ease. But analogies can be confusing. The Ranger’s built in battery means you can recharge it once a week, from any usb charger. That is what sold me on buying this. This device will spin all PokéStops and Gyms and catch all Pokémon, just as inefficiently as you can with a regular Pokémon go plus. So of course, it is not perfect. But it is wonderful. Imagine sitting at church or work, with your phone next to you, silently gathering all Pokémon and stuff by spinning a nearby stop... With nobody the wiser. You become a Pokémon manager more than a Pokémon player, and your biggest problem becomes having enough red balls. Note: be sure to turn off the vibrate future if you do this. Note: PAIRING FIX— When you first pair the device, you ignore the settings of your phone and go straight into Pokémon GO. The included instructions tell you to do that. This device under some circumstances will stop pairing altogether… I was able to solve this for myself by looking at Settings, and discovering that the Pokémon go plus appeared on the list of Bluetooth devices there. You MUST remove the device from that list. When you have done that, go back into Pokémon go, and do the initial pairing again. And Boom!, you are back in business. I believe what caused this for me was, I was sitting next to someone else as we did our required hourly pairing at the exact same time. And so, my device got confused. In any case, if your device stops pairing, try this. FREE ADVICE AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE! This device, just like all gotchas, has a Wimpy soft plastic screen. Keep your gotcha in a case of some kind, so that nothing bumps the screen. Then your screen will last longer. If your screen does get scratched up really badly, use toothpaste to gently rub away the scratches. Sorry for making this review so long. But I hope it helps.
