3+ Year Review!
I spent a good amount of time deciding between this model and the negative display 'japan' model. I couldn't justify the massive price tag increase for just the negative display and a carbon fiber band so I went with this model. One month of 24/7 use and I'm very pleased. The display is very easy to read and the functions are fairly easy to access once you get the hang of it. Accuracy is near perfect with nightly atomic updates. My watch was delivered with the battery indicator in the medium position. I left the watch in the window for several hours at it has not come down off of the high battery level since.
The reason for my deduction of one star is twofold. First, the thermometer picks up on your body heat throwing the reading off by 20 degrees or more. That is understandable but it takes an hour or more for the temp. to normalize after taking the watch off. Second, the illumination only has two settings one second and 3 second on. The biggest problem with this is if you want to flip through the features in the dark the light turns off with every press of a button. This means you are constantly turning the illumination on to see where you are and it turning off as soon as you hit another button. I would like to see the watch stay on for another 3 seconds after a button is depressed not turn off. Also, another pet peeve is that the illumination only comes from the left of the bezel so it is naturally brighter than the right side. For $200 I'd like to see more symmetrical lighting but it doesn't hinder the ability to read.
Being solar powered I am really hoping this watch will last 10 years or more. My last watch, a luminox, died after just 3 years of use. I will continue to update this review as I see fit.

7-14-17 Update
Still wearing the watch everyday and have not taken it off yet. I've since taken the watch off power saver mode and have yet to have the battery meter decline. Still wish the illumination would stay on an additional 3 seconds after a button is pressed.

1/9/18 Update:
Watch still working flawlessly and have yet to take it off. I’ve really come to love the barometer function as you can see when the weather is going to deteriorate. For example on a camping trip with no cell service prior to going to bed I noticed the barometer graph trending downward. As a precaution we covered everything up and sure enough it rained that night! No issues whatsoever thus far

7/20/18 Update:
Still loving this watch! Despite wearing everyday since receiving there are no major scratches to the display just extremely minor imperfections. No issues with syncing to the atomic clock every night as long as the watch is being worn. For some reason if it is not on it will not update on the east coast. I have also went through my first break down and deep clean. Just a small screwdriver a old toothbrush and some tooth paste had the watch looking like it was brand new again. Still yet to have the watch dip below the fully charged meter on then display

5/7/19 Update:
Everything is operating perfectly and still yet to go under the full charge. Have some wear on the steel clasp but that is expected with 2 years of daily use. No issues whatsoever with daily showers and pool use from time to time. Band is holding up well and I’m pleased I have not had to replace it as my previous Luminox band broke annually. Will continue to update

9/9/19 Update:
After 2.5 years of continual use the resin band failed at the clasp. Luckily I noticed before losing the watch. Replacement band on amazon was about $50 which is extremely pricy. Hopefully will get longer use out of the new band. Picture attached of failed band

6/13/2020 Update:
Watch is still working great with no issues whatsoever. Battery level still at “high” and no issues with the new resin band. Loving the watch and very happy to not need to change batteries once in the 3+ years of ownership. Definitely a must have
