I can't say that I wasn't a little worried when I purchased this lightning deal, especially considering I knew nothing of the brand name or of the general build quality. The first thing I noticed pulling it out of the box that it was more slim than I was expecting, which is nice. I hooked my PS4, DVR, and PC to it. The PS4 looked pretty good out of the box but I up'd the contrast a bit and put the color temp at warm because I felt the colors were a just a wee-bit flat. Tried out a few games, they all looked great, Netflix looked great, and my blu-rays looked great as always. Next was my cable, everything worked great there as well I didn't do any tweaking with the picture there although I may in the future. As for hooking my PC to it, I did have to do a bit of tweaking here. For some reason the HDMI mode was set to Video by default(Menu -> Picture -> HDMI Mode) and it looks terrible! So I changed the HDMI mode to Graphic and after that it looked fantastic. I'm not sure why it defaulted to such an abysmal setting, perhaps my PC set it that way, but everything was great after changing that. As for the sound overall, it could be better but it certainly could be worse. It's not bad enough that I feel the need to buy a sound bar or speakers, so I guess that's saying something. Adequate. I suppose my one real complaint was the remote. You have to be super aware of where you're pointing it, meaning directly at the sensor which seems to be at the bottom left of the TV. Even pointing at the bottom right seems to leave me ignored by it. Not something I can't deal with, just thought it was noteworthy. Be careful about reading any review by those without a verified purchase. It's a shame they would try to tarnish a TV's rating simply because they weren't fast enough to get the Black Friday deal on it. Who does that?
