Before using Mehron Paradise Paints I was only familiar with oil-based stage makeups instead of water-based. I like these much more. I used this along with another green for my Elphaba makeup. It's important that you have the proper sponge (a friend recommended a round Kryolan sponge that has worked better than any brush, sponge, or other applicator for this product for me). It's also important that you powder (you can use baby powder or translucent powder, etc) in between certain steps. Finally, it's ESSENTIAL you use a type of sealer, to prevent cracking, rubbing off, etc - the best I've found is Ben Nye "Final Seal". This will help with the nose creases, undereyes, areas that makeup often rubs off in. The powder and the sealer are really needed for this product to work at its top performance! It felt lighter than oil-based makeups, did not rub off or transfer, yet still came off relatively easy. (It needs a bit of scrubbing for the hairline area or areas where you have dry skin). Very happy with my purchase and I'll be using this in the future for all special effects. I have sensitive skin and it was fine -- my friend who I used it on is often allergic to certain makeups but she was just fine too. It has a very light coconut scent. Wonderful product!
