Clean humidity
As a microbiologist I'm always concerned about the health of my household since I know and understand quite a bit of how microorganisms get about. Through humidifiers is one way that can happen. A rich, moist, and slightly warmer environment like that in a humidifier is pretty much a playground for microbes including fungi and bacteria. Especially in the case of an ultrasonic humidifier like mine the microbes can be expelled pretty far and be able to land on surfaces or get inhaled. This treatment is a great find and worth every penny. The bottle says it's corrosive, and it could possibly be since it is a strong base, but I haven't had any issues with it. I would advise finding a 5 milliliter syringe and using that to put the treatment into your humidifier. They say about a capful (1/6th of an ounce) is what is needed for each gallon of water. The easiest method is just to translate that out to 5mL/gallon. Best thing about using a syringe is you don't have to pour super carefully. Just search here on Amazon for a 5cc or 5ml syringe and just get the ones without needles. Works beautifully.
