Post-divorce happiness
Coffee and I met when I was 16. Despite my youth we married right away. Over the 50 years we were together, we went through all the changes a couple does -- from instant to perc to drip to espresso to latte to decaf, then decaf with full bore, then back to decaf. We even tried a threesome and added milk, then cream, then 1/2 and 1/2. In the end, despite all of our efforts, we couldn't stand each other and fought all the time. I was finally told to just let go. Then tea? Nice companion at times, but not for the long haul. Someone suggested I meet Pero. I had already done that. So I went online and found a nice-looking prospect, Ayurvedic Roast. I was drawn by the obvious well-meaning nature of the grains and herbs and I've always been a fan of Ayurvedic approaches to health. So I arranged a sample meeting. It was not love at first sight. I like a strong, dark companion and it took a couple of tries before we hit it off. Here's how we do it: boil 1-2 cups of water, add 2 tablespoons of Ayurvedic Roast and simmer for 1-2 minutes. Add equal parts milk (cow, soy, almond, rice, etc) and bring back to a simmer; strain and serve. Sometime we invite a little cocoa powder to the party. We are now very happy together. I was not looking to duplicate coffee -- after all that relationship ended up trying to destroy me. What I found is warming, strong-flavored and supportive without any of the frenzy and dehydration I suffered before. I've introduced Ayurvedic Roast to a very stressed out coffee addicted boss, who is anxious to make the switch.
I have been promised a free 11oz bag of Ayurvedic Roast for writing this review. Why would I want another bag if I didn't really really like this product? So I am most happy to write and share my happiness.
