I bought a house that had the ugliest yard on the block... I couldn't get grass to grow for 2 years. I recently was told by an old man in lowes to grow some clover. He said to spray my weed n seed like i do every year, about 10 days later spread clover seed on my lawn. Clover produces nitrogen is what he told me... I have no clue what nitrogen does... but whatever. Now (2 months later) I have a very healthy looking lawn. In my bare spots, I have clover growing and it is a little different green than my grass but my lawn is so much greener. I recently had a family get together and I had numerous compliments on my lawn.... I had never had a compliment on my lawn before!!! Thank you Old man from Lowes!!! : ) Also, I havent seen the red flowers yet bc i keep mowing them... I hope to see them when I get lazy and let my grass grow : )
