I've used aftermarket HID kits for years, and a year ago switched to LEDs. While the brightness was nice, it had a noisy fan in the back that made a high-pitched whirring sound that I couldn't get used to. Hence why I purchased these BEAMTECH LED bulbs with passive cooling. Not only are they completely silent, but the light distribution is also much more even, as you can see in my picture. Driver side is the BEAMTECH, passenger is the older LED bulb. Also note that these BEAMTECH bulbs have 3 small diodes, whereas my old one only had 1. Installed on a 2014 Toyota Highlander. Will be buying another pair for my other car- a 2014 Honda Crosstour.
