We normally use a higher thread count, at least 1800 but the other reviews were so good and the price was too desirable to pass up (especially if you have a few beds in the house to cover). Right out of their package it was cool to the touch and I knew it could get softer after a wash. Tah Dah! It did soften, but it's not that silky cotton feel, it's more like a 4 star hotel quality. That great crisp, clean, comfortable feel after the maid has been. Really love it for the price, I may never buy another brand now. Getting ready to order another set for guest room!
