Very nice outer (leather) wallet. Poor inner protective (phone) case. Strong magnets, multi-function.
This is a very nice wallet with some good functionality. I think it's close to perfect and I love it, so I'm giving it 5 stars. The positives: + Slim, elegant design. Faux leather does not look cheap. No animals harmed. + Combines wallet and phone case, so eliminates one thing to carry. (But that one thing will be heavier.) + Magnetic clasp flaps are strong and easy to engage. (Note: they are very similar size, though not identical. To get the best fit, the top flap should cover the bottom flap.) + Magnets embedded in phone case and wallet are very strong. Your phone will not fall out of the wallet. But it's still very easy to remove the phone from the wallet when you want to. + Horizontal stand mode is available to prop up your phone on a table. Easy to do. (I could not get it to work vertically -- phone kept flopping over. But this is not a big deal to me.) + Overall drop protection. If the wallet/phone is closed and dropped, the protection the wallet affords looks to be good. The wallet might spring open on hard impact, but by then it's probably done it's job absorbing the strong blow. (See below for negative comments about protection of inner phone case.) - Limited capacity. I fit in 1 credit card, 1 ATM card, 1 drivers license and a few (4) bills, which have to be folded in half. Probably could take another bill or two. I had to sacrifice my library card, my AAA card, my medical and auto insurance cards. I entered all those ID numbers in to my phone. Hopefully that will suffice when I need to use them. I guess the world is headed in this direction anyway. - The only significant negative is the inner phone (snap-on) case. It provides very little protection for the phone (and basically no protection along the top and bottom edges of the phone). What it does provide is a grippier surface to hold the phone, as well as the magnetic back to attach to the wallet (and to a magnetic holder on your car's dashboard). But since this product is specifically designed for the inner phone case to be removed, a proper, more rugged inner phone case should not have been overlooked or sacrificed. If you drop your phone with the inner case, it will very likely be damaged. - If the inner case is centered vertically in the wallet (a good idea, based on what I've just said), the camera lens is not centered vertically in the oval cut-out window. - However, if the camera lens is centered in the oval cut-out window, the bottom edge of the phone is then flush with the bottom edge of the wallet case. This would not be such a big deal if (as I've said) the inner phone case offered proper protection on its own. FYI: the magnetic back to the phone case works incredibly well attaching to the magnetic base I bought that clips to air vent in my car: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00YE6D7I8?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o08_s00
