After reading the mixed reviews of this product I was skeptical about the performance when I bought it. It was easy to install, nice solid brass misters and the perfect length for our patio. After the first use I emptied the drain valve only to turn it back on and see water shooting out the end. I thought it was because I didn't have it tight enough or loose enough. Then my brilliant wife asked if there was supposed to be a stopper inside to cease the water flow. Low and behold when I took the drain valve cover off earlier a little teeny round black rubber ball fell out. Once placed back inside it worked like a champ again. The drain valve no longer leaked. Make sure when you empty the drain valve that you don't let the tiny rubber ball fall out, otherwise your misting system will be nothing more than a hose.
