Examined it and noted several nice differences between it and the Big Green Egg
First off I have owned Big Green Egg grills since 1994 and swear by them. Last May we moved to California and I sold my 2 Big Green Eggs because I didn't think they would survive the move.
I saw the PitBoss grill in CostCo. Examined it and noted several nice differences between it and the Big Green Egg. The Pitboss comes with all stainless steel hardware and bolts on the hinge and rings. No rusting. The air intake on the bottom has no lip so ashes can easily be removed. It comes with a hinged double deck grate so you can add charcoal without removing the grates. It has a cast iron firebox grate. It also has an ash removal tool and cover. The wheeled nest is very sturdy and has locking wheels. The side trays are nice wood and sturdy. I added some thick rubber and felt bumpers to the back of them as to not damage the ceramic when stowed.
All in all a great grill vs the Big Green Egg for 1/2 or less the cost.
