I really like this protein powder and as someone who owns about 10 different kinds, here are my reasons why: - it is not overly sweet (I dislike stevia) - not an overally artifically vanilla flavored (looking at you, PlantFusion) - it blends well, and in a shaker it is 'okay', not great but this is an issue with most plant proteins - I think this is good for people new to protein powders or someone who like a "light" vanilla taste. Me, I tested this this first plain (with water) -- and liked it, but I think a lot of people like making "protein smoothies" vs shakes. I then blended it with almond milk, strawberries and mixed berries it was elevated to delicious! I also added some vanilla extract and a dash of cinnamon. In terms of vegan protein powders, here are some others you might want to try: Orgain All-In-One Meal Replacement (Vanilla) -- by far the BEST tasting vanilla protein I've ever had. Genuine vanilla taste alone or blended with one covet -- use almond (alternative) milk, as with most protein powders making them with water should be a last resort. Vega (all lines) -- I'm really partial to the "performance" lines because of the nutrition profile best meeting my needs (30g protein per serving! BCAA's) and I am HUGE fan of the Berry and Mocha flavor. The berry is perfect blended w a banana or berries and the mocha tastes like a frappachino -- perfect if you're looking for an alternative mocha powder to blend with your coffee. In the "all in one" line, I really like the Natural flavor, although a bit gritty it really is versatile and you can use it with anything. My fave is with a scoop of pb, banana + dash of cinnamon and vanilla extract. I like the +Greens lines but suggest you don't start there with this line because they're an aquired taste. SoTru (Chocolate) : favorite chocolate flavor, rich and deep -- truly tastes like a chocolate shake. Orgain (Chocolate): Costco now carries this one and I buy it regularly because it is tasty -- vegan, raw, organic -- I use it on the go a lot because it tastes better than most mixed with water. However, at home, I add unsweetened cocoa powder because I think the chocolate flavor is a little week Food for Life (Vanilla): This one I like but don't think many will. Calling it "vanilla" is subjective, honestly it has more of a cinnamon/plant flavor and is pretty grainy if not blended. Definitely an aquired taste. Everlast (Vanilla): Good on the go but far more artifical and sweet tasting than I like. Not my favorite but if you want something sweet, this may be for you. PlantFusion (vanilla): I returned this product and honestly couldnt even gag it down and I can handle some pretty gross protein shakes. Plantfusion tastes entirely like chemicals to me and I absolutely hated it. Whole Foods Vegan Plant Protein line: I recently bought these to try. I didnt "love" any of them and think they have a weird aftertaste. Initially the dark chocolate and vanilla cinnamon were "okay" but the vanilla caramel was straight gross. I think I'm forgetting a couple! I drink vegan shakes daily and am always checking out new powders when I find them. I hope this helped!
