Update: Replacement blades are now available on Amazon and they work just as well as the original blades. This shaver is by far still the best I’ve used so I’m updating my rating to 5 stars since I can finally buy spare blades and use my shaver again. Original review: The shaver itself is probably the best I’ve used so far. I do a lot of shaving and this shaver is faster and also got some of the things my less expensive shavers wouldn’t. So why only 3 stars you ask. Well, Now the bad part..... the blades do not last long at all. The shaver comes with 3 disc of blades, I had gone thru all three in less than a month. When I called the company they informed me that they don’t sell replacement blades. They did however send me a whole new unit and 3 more disc AFTER I asked if I could return the shaver. So that was great. Although I didn’t need a whole new unit - it would have been better if they kept the unit and maybe threw in a few more disc. At any point - it was nice of them. Now I find myself 2 weeks into the new blades and I’m already on my second disc. Only one more left- then what? I feel like while it’s an excellent shaver, the fact that the blades don’t last and they don’t sell replacement blades is a big issue. When the blades wear out- you’ve spent 40$ on something that’s really of no use anymore. Honestly I expected to get a lot more use out of it than a few weeks- especially with a $40 price tag. While my cheaper shavers may have taken longer, I’m starting to think they might be the way to go since I can purchase replacement blades for it. All in all, while the company did send me a new unit and 3 more disc- I still find myself sadly disappointed in the amount of time I actually got to use the shaver. I have one Disc left and find myself having to decide how important a garnet is before I shave it- I don’t want to “waste” my blade. At $40 I shouldn’t have to decide between shaving a garnet or saving my blades.
