I had bought one for my 700 sq ft apartment, which is a 6-unit building. After roughly 2 weeks, I didn't see anymore roaches. Not even babies on the floor like I usually did. I liked the first one so much I bought several more (one for each room). I know that one unit would technically cover my entire apartment, but figured since it doesn't travel through walls I wanted one in each room. Better to go overboard and drive roaches out completely, I feel. We live close to downtown Austin but around a lot of trees and all of us tenants have a problem with tree roaches. I wouldn't call it an infestation, luckily, but they come in for water and I initially would find 1-2 huge roaches in my apartment every week or a couple of times a month. Too much for me, regardless. My neighbor complained to the property manager (pest removal isn't included in our leases) and he set a bug bomb off up in the crawl space in the attic. I am guessing this sent anything up there scurrying, because that is why I bought more of these units. After the bug bomb was set off, I had 3 dead roaches in my apartment for the first time in months. These things are wonderful and the seller tends to ship quickly. Don't be fulled by the box, as I feel it makes the product look generic or not of the highest quality. The only downside I have found to the product is the design. Meaning, when plugged into an outlet it covers the other outlet so nothing else can be plugged in. There is green mode (light infestation), blue mode (medium infestation) and red mode (heavy infestation). Green and blue are quiet but red gives off a piercing squeal, non-stop. I would only use red when away from home. I did use red, once, just to try it out overnight and it didn't seem to bother my neighbors cat at all. Try the product and give it a couple of weeks for the bugs or whatever to figure out that the sonic waves are coming from the location in which you are using them. Once they learn where the waves are coming from, they will avoid it. These things have been a blessing, for sure. Very happy customer.
