My concern like many others' was about dryness, breakage, gray coverage and evenness. Having the tightest curl pattern on the charts, even for African hair, I am at the highest possible level for breakage! I was on the fence over permanent vs semi permanent. But, hearing about the keratin in this product, I decided to try Schwartzkopf keratin permanent in Ruby Noir 1.8. I appreciated the pre and post treatments provided. My hair was dull gray, with old faded coloring...it was pretty bad. Upon application, I became extremely worried because it first went clown orange!! But, as the minutes ticked by, it darkened pretty evenly to almost the exact color on the box. This has been the most true to color dye I've tried. I need to buy a great curl defining/moisturizing, leave-in conditioner, but like the results!
