I have installed this in my kitchen to replace a circular florescent fixture. Installation was a breeze! It took me less than 15 minutes to install. At 1610 lumens this is well bright enough to light my 8' X 10' kitchen. The color, 4000K, is a very nice white color with just a small trace of yellow. When purchasing LED fixtures there are 2 specifications that should be investigated: 1) The light output, measured in lumens. The more lumens the more light. It doesn't matter if it is a "60 watt equivalent" or "uses 15 watts". The actual measure of light emitted is measured in lumens, not watts, voltage, etc. 2) The color of light output is measured in degrees kelvin - K. A light rated at 2500K will be somewhat yellow and more like daylight. As the number increases the light color shifts towards pure white at around 6000K.
