I bought this dress for my 6.5yo to wear for family photos. It's an absolutely beautiful dress for a young girl - wish I'd known I'd liked it so much as I would have ordered another in a different color for my other daughter. Our photographer even asked were it was from so she could recommend it for other clients. Fabric is heavy enough that shorts are not necessary underneath it but comfortable to play in. Must buy if looking for a rustic, country, outdoors, shabby-chic look!
