This Coffee Press makes Great Coffee!
My wife says I'm a coffee snob. She's right. I am picky, picky, picky about my coffee. I grind my own beans, because ground fresh, coffee tastes so much better! I especially enjoy a good cup of coffee when I'm camping. Something about waking up outdoors, before daylight, and watching the sun come up, with an excellent cup of coffee in hand, really makes my day. I'm a hammock camper. So, if I plan it right the night before, I don't even have to get out of bed, to have my first cup of coffee in the morning. Does it get any better than that? Not in my world. I can roll over in my hammock, fire up my small stove, and heat the water (there's a fill line for the proper amount of water) in the stainless steel pot of the coffee press. Add two scoops of coffee to the water, stir it, wait about 4 minutes, press the coffee to the bottom of the pot, and serve. The lid fits equally well on the pot and the press. This is a convenient feature. I use this pot to heat water for other uses as well. Not only does the lid help reduce boil time, it makes pouring much easier, for coffee or just hot water. For me, this press make two cups of coffee. I carry my ground coffee with me, in a peanut butter container, that I've washed out. Since it's food grade plastic, I don't mind putting my coffee in it. The empty container, from a 28 ounce jar of peanut butter, fits perfectly inside the assembled coffee press. So, filled with fresh ground coffee, I can have two cups a day, for at least 14 days. I keep a one ounce scoop inside the container to measure my coffee grounds.
