For some reason when my newborn son started to ride in cars, my Wife started thinking that the sun was dangerous. So even though I had tint in my vehicle, my wife did everything to avoid having my son exposed to sunlight for prolonged periods of time. So to avoid having tin foil on my window, I purchased this item. It works well and does serve some protection. However, it doesn't look as clean as the pictures. When placed against the window, there are bubbles and wrinkles shown. At first I thought this was a defect until I ordered a replacement and it had the same exact thing. So if you aren't super OCD like me, it will serve you great to avoid the sun. So to sum it all up, if you are a vampire and don't like sunlight, this is the shade for you. If you are an OCD vampire, the wrinkles and bubbles will probably scare you away to another item.
