Hurts like hell, probably hurt the idiot more though. Some things to take note of however.
Bought for myself, my partner & my roommate. Had to use on some stupid crackhead who was running his mouth and threatening to kill and lunging at people. It incapacitated him temporarily, but people can get back up. Spray and get away from your perp. However there was some blowback, got a bit in my eye and I can assure you that tiny bit burned like hell, affected my vision and even partially my breathing. If you plan on carrying pepper spray with you, PLEASE buy SUDECON wipes and carry those with you as well! You will be thankful. The guy got an entire face and eye full of it, was spewing up snot and crying while continuing to scream at people. Pepper spray will not completely incapacitate someone 100% of the time, use it and get to safety immediately. If you feel you must use more force, kick their head as soon as they go down, if they go down. Do not engage further, they can wipe it on you, purposefully or accidentally. This is a stream first then a slight mist, so there will be blowback if there is wind. Always have a backup item for self defense. Would not recommend using this on a windy day or if you are in an enclosed area with other bystanders (spraying bystanders can land you in jail regardless of if there is a real and present danger to you or those around you) The "quick release" clip takes some getting used to, you have to mash a button and pull it out. If its cold out and you're wearing gloves, it will be very difficult to get off a keychain/bag. If your fingers are incapable of quickly pressing the quick release, do not use it, store it in your pocket instead or be able to equip it without worrying about having to un-attach it. It will be useless if you can't get it out in time. The safety isn't the best so be weary when handling it, treat it like you would any other dangerous projectile weapon (like, a gun) keep it away from your face. The safety can sometimes slide to the "on" position. The cannister itself is very slim, if it is dark at night and you can't see it well you will have to take extra caution to make sure you're aiming it in the right direction. SABRE, I'd love to buy a compact cannister with a pistol grip/thumb grip on it to help with aiming and knowing which direction you're pointing it. Reader, please take this into caution. Situational awareness will help you more than pepper spray will. Combine all of this and you should be able to go home at night in one piece. Stay safe y'all.
