I am a MMJ patient legally allowed to grow my own herbal medicine. This year I planted a dozen very very expensive seeds in Miracle Gro seedling mix and immediately lost half of them. They grew extremely fast and then fell over. Research showed that this is the same process that ChemLawn uses to kill crab grass in your lawn. High rates of chemical nitrogen causes this collapse. Apparently, Miracle Gro and others that claim they have enough fertilizer for 3 or 6 months will have the same effect. Fox Farms Ocean Forest is all natural composted organic material. I rescued the remaining six seedlings from the Miracle Gro and repotted into this and immediately they started to grow normally. When I had the seedlings unpotted, I could see that there was virtually no root growth even though they were a spindly 4" tall because they were drowning in fertilizer. Less is more and organic beats inorganic apparently. I will never make this mistake again. Thank you Fox Farms!
