Best Headset for Xbox One for under $50- Will need adapter with older controllers.
Note* You may or may not need the Xbox One headset adapter. This depends on your controller. If your controller has a normal 3.5mm jack on it (This controller was released in June 2015), then an adapter is not needed. If your controller does not have a 3.5 mm jack on it but a usb looking port, then you will need the adapter. There is an Official Xbox One adapter and a turtle beach version. Both adapters will work.
I ordered theses a week before they were released. My fourth Xbox One stereo headset had just broken. I really wish these had been released early. Love them. They are very comfortable. I have long gaming sessions and other headsets would hurt my ears but these don't. I have even started wearing them when using the YouTube app or watching TV while on the One. The volume is very good and loud. Before I had to have my volume up all the way to hear and be heard but now I would say I have it set at half way and people can hear me just fine. The mic is better then other headsets too. Before my mic would pick up everything, from tv volume, to someone knocking on my door. Even my ceiling fan and AC could be heard (and they are not that loud) but with this mic, this isn't a problem. It will pick up noises if they are very loud, like a tv with it's volume up past 30 but it does a good job trying to filter out bad noises.
For the quality and price of these headphones, they are very worth it.
