3 features that make it nice to use
After buying a more expensive torque wrench, I realized some things about torque wrenches:
- buy the smallest torque wrench that will do the job - If you can't fit and maneuver the tool in the target area, its useless (Torqueing manifold bolts was one of many examples where I learned this.)
- Easy on the eyes. This tool is black with yellow paint markings - makes it very easy to set and use. I love this feature.
-Accuracy - I checked it against my larger, more expensive, certified torque wrench at it seems to be spot on - certainly more than adequate for automotive use.
For these three reasons, I will use this torque wrench most often out of the three that I have - it includes the more common ranges. I'll only use the others when the target setting is near or above/below the limits of this one.
Me, my son, and a friend work in the same shop, sharing tools, so we have 6-8 torque wrenches between us. We all grab this one as our first choice.
UPDATE: Had a minor issue with this near end of warranty period, and Lexivon made it right. VERY impressed with their customer service
