48GB (or more) of Internal Storage...........if you are willing to get your hands dirty
I bought this Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) tablet specifically for Marshmallow"s "adoptable storage" feature. This feature allows you to take the internal memory (16GB in Z380M) and an microSD card (I use a 32GB), and combine them as one internal 48GB storage. Sounds good?..........except ASUS (and many other vendors) did not enable this feature by default. There are many articles on the web on how to enable this manually for various devices (lots of articles for Galaxy S7). I'm going to list the high level steps that worked for me specifically on this tablet. If you're not sure about any of these steps, you can easily google for more details or leave a comment and I will try to answer them but perhaps not promptly. 0. Back up your microSD data. 1. Enable the "Developer Option" on your Z380M 2. Enable "USB Diagnostic" in the Developer Option and connect Z380M to a PC via USB 3. Download and install Android ADB tool to your PC (see 3rd comment from the top in this thread from sidewinder on where to get this tool) 4. From command prompt of your PC, enter the following two commands (without the quotation mark): "adb shell" "sm set-force-adoptable true" 5. Go into Z380M's Settings-Storage and USB, select the SD card. The menu option (in the upper right corner) should now give you a choice to "format as internal storage" 6. You might get an error message when formatting is complete. Just reboot your Z380M and ignore the error message. 7. After reboot, go back to the same menu option in step #5. This time, select "Migrate Data" instead of formatting. You now should have a combined internal storage of 16GB + your microSD. 8. FYI, for certain apps you will see "sorry, unfortunately this app has stopped working" error if you open it right after downloading the app. I have found this error does go away completely after restarting the tablet. It's a minor annoyance, but not a deal breaker for me. Good luck.
